EyeSoar highlights the people drawn to the resources of Charles Beatley Central Library, a West End Alexandria public location. This area is heavy utilized, a public site drawing bike path and recreation users, footbridge traffic and individuals to the Central Library and the surrounding businesses.
Through movement and sound, this outdoor performance by Jane Franklin Dance brings awareness of the physical structure of the Beatley Central Library portico and surrounding green areas. A diverse collection of library users, who state their connection to the City of Alexandria and its resources are heard in brief audio interviews incorporated in the sound score.
Parking: The library has a large parking lot with 175 spaces.
