The Curators of Crime, four authors who write about art, antiques and antiquities crime, give us their take on this brazen daylight robbery.
During this interactive event, you'll meet the authors Connie Berry, M.A. Monnin, Nina Wachsman, and Lane Stone.
Connie Berry writes the Kate Hamilton Mystery series. The first book, "A Dream of Death," won numerous awards. Book 6, "A Grave Deception," came out in December. The series follows an American antiquities dealer’s life in Long Barston, England, and the family she creates there. Speaking of family, she is the daughter of two antiques dealers. She lives in northern Ohio and central Michigan with her husband and dog, Emmie. She is a lifelong anglophile.
M. A. Monnin writes the Intrepid Traveler Mysteries about an Artifact Retrieval Team. The debut novel, "DEATH IN THE AEGEAN", was an Agatha nominee for Best First Novel. That was followed by "DEATH ON THE GRAND CANAL," then "DEATH IN ST. GEORGES." Mary is an avocational archaeologist and US Air Force veteran. She lives in Kansas City, Missouri with her husband and two Siberian huskies.
Nina Wachsman writes the Venice Beauties Mysteries. "THE GALLERY OF BEAUTIES" was an Agatha nominee for Best First Novel. The second book in the series was "THE COURTESAN’S SECRET," which was followed by "THE COURTESAN’S PIRATE." She is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design, where she studied under Maurice Sendak. She is also a descendant of a chief rabbi of the Ghetto, a contemporary of the rabbi in the novel. She lives in New York City, with absolutely no pets.
Lane Stone writes the art thriller trilogy, The Big Picture. "The Collector" was book one. Followed by "The Canvas." "Crimes and Sins" will be coming July, 2026. She wrote several cozy mystery series, before turning to writing thrillers. She lives in Alexandria, VA and Lewes, DE with her hub and Cordy and Emma, who are Standard Schnauzers.
