Common Ground
Documentary Screening and Discussion
Tuesday, September 02
5:45pm - 7:45pm
Kate Waller Barrett Branch Library
Second FloorJoin us for our second screening and discussion around soil health with a film that looks even closer at the success and hope of regenerative agriculture.
In this star-studded follow up to Kiss the Ground (2020), Common Ground unveils a dark web of money, power, and politics behind our broken food system. The film reveals how unjust practices forged our current farm system in which farmers of all colors are literally dying to feed us. The film profiles a hopeful and uplifting movement of white, black, and indigenous farmers who are using alternative “regenerative” models of agriculture that could balance the climate, save our health, and stabilize America’s economy – before it’s too late. - Filmmakers website
