Special guest Melanie Adams, the Roger Ferguson and Annette Nazareth Director of the Smithsonian’s Anacostia Community Museum, will provide introductory remarks.

Refreshments will be served beginning at 5:30 PM. Books will be available to purchase at the event.

From the publisher: "An unflinching look at the all but forgotten though no less shocking 1979 racial tragedy that divided Greensboro, N.C., and the nation, and the grassroots activists who, in their tireless fight for justice, refused to give up on America’s promised ideals."
