Tai Chi at Beatley Library
Balance Your Mind and Body
Thursday, May 22
5:30pm - 6:30pm
Charles E. Beatley Jr. Central Library
Frank and Betty Wright Reading GardenJoin Jorge Banales as he gives instruction on the Yang Style 24 Movement Tai Chi form on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. Free and open to the public.
Tai Chi movements can be practiced by people of all ages and, as the form involves balanced walking, it results in a relaxed aerobic exercise for major muscle groups and the circulatory system.
The practice of Tai Chi also benefits the mind, and learning the form, with keen awareness of body movements and balance, leads to an increase in mental sharpness.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Class is held outside in the Reading Garden, or in the Periodicals area or Large Meeting Room during the winter or in case of inclement weather.
