Join Oddball cinema for a showing of Crabs!

The movie begins with an all-too-common scenario in low-budget horrors:  a couple of teens meet on the beach for an amorous liaison, and monsters (in this case mutant horseshoe crabs) attack them, generating the usual fake blood and gore.  But events soon get interesting and much, much weirder.  An odd assortment of students, teachers, and relatives preparing for the local high-school prom start to discover other mutant crabs in unexpected places, and it isn’t long before they realize that these are not of the common or garden variety.  One student in particular, an immigrant from eastern Europe, sounds the alarm; his accent makes half of his lines unintelligible, but like many of the other oddities in this production, this only makes the action more enjoyable.  As the crabs swarm and kill, the local genius comes up with a spectacularly looney plan to defeat them.
