Diggsy has loved Suzette for years, but Suzette sees Diggsy as just a good friend.  Eventually she marries someone else, ruining Diggsy’s day and – he’s convinced – his life as well.  While drowning his sorrows at a local bar, Diggsy is approached by a stranger who offers him what may be a more permanent and less liver-damaging remedy for his sorrows than repeated doses of alcohol:  a magic key that will open a door to parallel dimensions.  Perhaps on the other side he’ll find a slightly different Suzette who loves him the way he loves her.  There’s just one catch:  while the number of available dimensions is infinite, once he leaves one, he can never return to it.
