Join Clinical Herbalists Kay Sidahmed and Amy Talcott for an afternoon of exploring the world of medicinal plants and how to apply them in everyday life without harming humans, plants, and planet

Herbal Medicine has experienced a steady renewal and revival in the US in recent decades. While this is a most welcome development, it does come with certain challenges, including an ever growing and confusing to navigate marketplace of herbal supplements. 

In this lecture, Clinical Herbalists Kay Sidahmed (PhD, MS) and Amy Talcott (MS) will shed some light on this conundrum. Join them for an afternoon of exploring the world of medicinal plants and how to appropriately and thoughtfully apply them without harming humans, plants, and planet.  

Topics included in this lecture:

-What is contemporary herbal medicine & how do clinical herbalists work?

-101 of buying herbal supplements – important considerations regarding product quality, ethical and just sourcing, safety, and potential pitfalls

-DIY herbal medicine at home for you and your family – tips for growing and/or making home remedies

-Q & A
