Join us for a virtual workshop discussing the advantages and limitations of the technology powering today's AI and offer guidance for making informed choices about using AI in historical research.

Artificial intelligence chatbots such as ChatGPT are disrupting online research with new strategies for finding and analyzing information. AI has the potential to automate elements of the research process, but it also poses serious challenges for researchers concerned about accuracy, privacy and information ethics.

Join us for a virtual workshop with reference librarian Becky Schneider from the Library of Virginia, who will discuss the advantages and limitations of the technology powering today's AI and offer guidance for making informed choices about using AI in historical research.
