Join us for a panel discussion with Stephen and Jackie Martin, descendants of Morris Murray, one of the men arrested on August 21, 1939, just for trying to read. This year marks the 85th Anniversary of the historic civil rights protest, and the Alexandria Library will be hosting educational programs and events throughout 2024 to honor its Legacy of Courage.
Celebrated local musician and educator Vaughn Ambrose will perform at the program.
Refreshments will be served. Registration is encouraged, but not required. Seating is limited and on a first-come first-served basis, but overflow seating will be available to view the live stream.
