Did you know that there are 8,240 species of reptiles in the world, inhabiting every continent except Antartica? Averaging 10 to 12 feet in length, the king cobra is the largest venomous snake in the world. It is also the only known snake that builds a nest for egg incubation. Join Burke Branch on Thursday, November 19, at 2 p.m. and meet some of the fascinating snakes and lizards from the collection of the Buddie Ford Nature Center. Book sale at Beatley Central Library

Thousands of books, CDs, DVDs and more will be available for sale Friday, November 13, through Sunday, November 15. There will be a special Members only preview on Thursday, November 12. Membership can be obtained at the door for fifteen dollars. All proceeds benefit the Friends of Beatley Central Library.
