Local History/Special Collections is located inside the Barrett Branch Library. While the library is PHASE TWO, it is available by virtual appointment only.
Effective December 7, 2020 Alexandria Library will return to PHASE TWO of the library's reopening plan.
Local History & Special Collections is closed to the public, however staff are working remotely and curbside service is available.

While staff at Local History & Special Collections endeavor to respond with 24 hours, please understand that it may take as long as 2 weeks to respond depending on the currentl level of staffing. LH/SC can only provide a maximum of 2 hours of research per request.
