It's been awhile since we've had a book sale at the Barrett Branch!  Come to peruse gently used books, CDs, and DVDs at our outdoor Book Sale on September 11.  It will be  from 11 am to 4 pm.

Amy Dunlap will lead an Easy Titanic Era Sewing Project in the tranquil Lloyd House Gardens from 11 am to 12:30 pm (on Queen Street across from the library.)

Then at 1 pm join local author Elizabeth MacBride in the grassy area outside our building on Columbus Street as she talks about her new book, The New Builders: face to face with the new future of business She and co-author Seth Levine profile the largest growing group of entrepreneurs across the United States, and in Virginia, that is women and people of color.
