Women of Color in the Civil War
Presented by the National Park Service
Friday, March 26
3:00pm - 4:00pm
Join us for a talk by National Park Service Ranger Kenya Finley on how many of the contributions by women of color went recognized and unrewarded.
Women of Color represents the masses of captive people stolen from their lives on the African continent and forced into wretched lives as slaves on the content of the Americas. They played a role in every war effort in United States history. They endured physical discomfort and personal criticism, while many of their contributions were unrecognized and unrewarded.
A zoom account is not required to join, but a microphone is. Most mobile devices have microphones installed. If you're using a desk top, most webcams also have microphones built in. You will need to register for this class in order to get the meeting link.
If you have questions about the program or need help with set up, please email Caroline at cpak@alexlibraryva.org.
