Equal Rights Amendment Explained

Virginia has become the 38th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment! Julia Tanner, ERA chair for the Arlington League of Women Voters and founder of Virginia Equal Rights Coalition, will explain the ERA’s importance and the work that has been done to bring about its ratification, noting key leaders, messaging, imagery, and actions. Come learn about the history of the ERA and what the future holds for the country in relation to this momentous occasion.
