Second FloorBeulah's pastor, Rev. Quardricos Driskell, will share the deep and rich history of this important Alexandrian institution.
Beulah Baptist Church, founded during the Civil War, became a church for the city's contraband, African American men and women who escaped north to Union controlled territory. Come learn about Beulah's founding, leadership, and its early efforts to support and educate Alexandria's Black residents.
