Beth Patridge Meeting RoomDeath Cafes are an opportunity to demystify the death experience. We offer an open, safe environment for discussing thoughts, feelings about all manner death and dying.
At a Death Cafe people drink tea, eat cake and discuss death. Our aim is to increase awareness of death to help people make the most of their (finite) lives. This Death Cafe will be hosted by Hannah Risley, a librarian at Duncan Library who has been hosting Death Cafe's since 2018.
Please note: Death Cafes are not meant to act as support groups or grief counseling.
Sign up encouraged, but not required. E-mail Hannah at hrisley@alexlibraryva.org, or call 703-746-1781 to sign up.
