Movement and Story-telling Workshop

Exploring "Awakening" by Kate Chopin through Dance

Join us for a dance workshop where we will explore the connection between movement and story-telling. No dance experience is necessary and older adults are welcome.

The workshop will include a warm-up and a series of exercises and improvisations to inspire you to delve more deeply into the story and meaning of "Awakening". Familiarity with Chopin's novel is helpful but not required to enjoy this program. 

Choreographers Collaboration Project is a modern dance company based in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria. Since 1998, CCP has been dedicated to introducing modern dance to individuals across generations, cultures, and artistic media.
