Are you new to proposal writing or want a quick refresher? This free class will provide you with an overview of how to write a standard project proposal to a foundation.
Elizabeth Madjlesi, of Candid (formerly the Foundation Center) will show you how to write a standard project proposal to a foundation. The class will include:
1. The basic elements of a proposal
2. The "do's" and "dont's" of writing and submitting a proposal
3. How to follow up whether the answer is yes or no
Afterwards there will be a 30-minute hands-on exercise to develop a proposal outline (in-person classes only)
The outcomes of this class will be to understand how to write a standard project proposal to a foundation, and to know how and when to follow up with funders after submitting a proposal.
*It is helpful, but not required, if you have already taken Candid's (or the Foundation Center's) Introduction to Finding Grants class.
