USGS Research Ecologist, Adam Terando, will discuss the current and predicted trends towards urbanization and the interaction of land use with climate change.
Land development is predicted to continue in the Southeast through the end of the century as businesses and the people who work for them relocate to the region. Join us to hear from Dr. Adam Terando to learn what urban development will look like and how it will impact the changing climate of the region. A time for questions will be available at the end.
Adam Terando is a USGS Research Ecologist (Climate Impacts) with the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center. His work focuses on the impacts of global change on ecosystems in the Southeast and U.S. Caribbean, and the complex human-environment relationships that drive these processes.
