Maybe you're a believer or a skeptic, or maybe you just want to talk about death. All are welcome to this discussion-based program on séances and mediumship.

Join Dan and Kat Eckhart, modern séance hosts, as they discuss the history of séances and mediumship in the United States. After describing how these practices grew in popularity at the turn of the century, Dan and Kat will explore how séance and mediumship have evolved over time to their most common expressions today. Séances grew out of a cultural and individual need to attempt spirit communication with departed loved ones and engage with the idea of death in a safe setting, surrounded by family and close friends. Explore and discuss with Dan and Kat what we can learn about grief, death, and engaging with a non-material world from the practice of séance and mediumship.
