“Prepare to Perform!” is a workshop facilitated by Poet Laureate of Alexandria, Virginia, KaNikki Jakarta.
KaNikki has over 25 years of stage performances, she is an award-winning performance poet, workshop facilitator, and author who has traveled the US and UK to perform poetry in the efforts to inform, inspire, and entertain.
Public speaking is considered the highest phobia and affects three out of four people, or 75 percent, of individuals who suffer from speech anxiety. KaNikki cannot guarantee that your nervousness will disappear, but she can offer powerful performance tips that will help you conquer the fear of speaking to crowds. Join us for a fun-filled workshop that will help you find your voice and confidence you need to take the words on your page to a microphone and stage.
