In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Alexandria Library Sit In, the first known sit in, Alexandria Library will screen films and host other events related to the film festival.
In this two hour class Lucy Gebre-Egziabher, Fulbright Scholar and professor of cinema at NOVA, will present a lecture and lead you through a screenwriting exercise to help you jump start your own script. This program is part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Library Sit In. Get inspired by the feature films and documentaries about Civil Rights and the African American experience in America being screened across the Alexandria Library system in 2019.
