Explore art history with a story time and a process focused project inspired by a famous artist. Ages 3-6. All supplies provided. Registration required. Contact Vanessa at vsalo@alexlibraryva.org
We're back for a winter session featuring 4 new artists! Art Explorers is a themed story time followed by an art project that allows children to explore the techniques of famous artists. Each session will focus on one artist from history - a story time will introduce children to the artist's life and works and provide inspiration and context for the project that follows. The art project will be in the style of our weekly artist and will include everything from collage to painting with different mediums to drawing with oil pastels. The focus is early art appreciation and allowing children to explore their creativity. It's the process, not the product, that matters in Art Explorers!
Art Explorers is an independent experience for ages 3-6. Adults must stay in children's section. All supplies provided. Registration required - space is limited to 15 children per session. If demand exceeds space limitations, names will be drawn.
Registration is now closed.
