My Dearest Wife

I have your letter of 8th inst. From present prospects I think the clothes you have sent me will come in very well they have not reached me yet however, I am truly gland [sic] to see Mr. McC is with you it must be a great comfort to Julia & Eva - say to Joe Commadore Tucker begs to be remembered to him - the old Comadore [sic] is a great favorite with us all here. I recognized Landon Mason, a few days ago, among the prisoners here, you can say to his friends he seems to be is looking well, we are not permitted to speak to those of the prisoners who are not of our own party. Tell Mr. Isaacs his friend Clifford has been very kind in sending me fresh vegetables occasionally, I wait patiently & hope my love & the to be patient day is not far distant when we shall be together, how I long to press you & the dear little one to my heart. Give oceans of love to all our friends & relations. I keep in good health - write to me as often as you please, it affords me the greatest pleasure to get a line from you. God bless protect & provide for you and our child & spare us to each other is my earnest prayer.
