W.H. May & Son Sales

From the May Family Papers (Box 233, Folder 5) at Alexandria Library, Special Collections. These dealers were some of the correspondents of W.H. May & Son. Each company has striking stationery, and the letters show what an interest the manufacturers had in finding sales agents such as W.H. May & Son for their products.

Bucher and Gills Plow Company, for example, writes the following:
"Mr. E.A. Thompson, of Alexandira [sic], Va. answers our advertisement of Imperial Double Disc Harrows now running in the farm papers. and asks for particulars and prices. He wants to buy a Disc Harrow and you can sell him one if you follow up his inquiry without delay."
