Adult Summer Reading Starts on June 15

Why should the kids have all the fun? Join us for our first annual Adult Summer Reading program. Starting Monday, June 15, pick up a Bingo card at any library branch and complete five reading challenges to be entered to win our grand prize, a Kindle Fire HD! To be eligible to win, completed bingo cards should be turned in by August 28 to the Information Desk at any library branch.

Booksale at Burke Branch

Books, CDs, DVDs and more will be available for sale. The book sale is from Wednesday, June 10 - Saturday, June 13 with Wednesday night being a preview night for Friends members only. Membership can be obtained at the door for ten dollars. All proceeds benefit the Friends of Burke Branch Library. The book sale is located in the Meeting Room.

 

 

 

Food, Culture & Reading at Burke Branch

Food, Culture, and Reading is a nutrition education program for youth that combines literature and food to help youth learning about healthy living and cultures from around the world. Join Burke Branch on Saturday, June 6, at 1:30 p.m. and explore MyPlate, taste new foods from other cultures, explore similarities of foods, and develop an understanding and appreciation of cultures that are different from your own. This session children will learn to make smoothies. Ages 5 and up w/ adult.
