Register for Science in the Summer at Beatley Central

Taught by certified teachers, this program gets kids excited about studying science with hands-on experiments. The Alexandria Library and the For Love of Country Foundation present the 2nd Annual Essay and Poetry contest, "Why Vote?" Rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders – enter "For Love of Country: In My Own Words," an essay and poetry contest, and win up to $100! Just create an essay or poem on the topic: "Why Vote?" Entries are due by August 27, 2016 at 5 p.m.

Sketch Up Design Basics for 3D Printing at Barrett Branch

Join Barrett Branch on Saturday, July 9, at 10:30 a.m. and learn the basics of SketchUp, a free 3D modeling program, to design 3D objects, which can then be printed. The class will cover the basic maneuvering and manipulation of the tools needed to draw a printable model. Bring your own laptop and mouse if you have it. Ages 13+. Registration is required.

Let's Talk: An ESL Conversation Class at Beatley Central
