Before her role in Speed made her a star, Sandra Bullock appeared in this wacky tale of two scientists who are good at their jobs but hopeless when it comes to getting a date.  Sandra needed to appear unattractive for this scenario to make any sense, and the makeup department did their level best to prepare her for the role.  When she and her partner, played by Tate Donovan, discover a compound that can make a person irresistible to the opposite sex, they decide to take out of the laboratory for a test in the real world.  The results say much more about the filmmakers’ ideas about men and women than it does about fictional potions.
