Learn about new crafts you can make to make a difference.

Join staff from fibre space knitting store, Artistic Artifacts fabric store, Upcycle Creative Reuse Center and local maker librarians as they discuss their predictions about the eco-conscious crafts that will be popular in the new year.

Q&A will follow the discussion.

This program is part of our Upgraded and Grounded* series.

*Upgraded and Grounded: Community Efficiency and Sufficiency in the Midst of Climate Change is a six-month series dedicated to the discussion of extreme weather’s impact on our lives and the actions we can take to respond with thought and care. This series is made possible by the American Library Association’s Resilient Communities: Libraries Respond to Climate Change grant. A huge thank you goes to our partner, the City of Alexandria Transportation and Environmental Services, especially Sustainability Coordinator Ellen Eggerton and Stormwater Manager Jessica Lessetter, for their assistance in planning and presenting events as part of this series.

Resilient Communities: Libraries Respond to Climate Change is a pilot program of the American Library Association.
