Join Jim Johnston at Duncan Library as he talks about his book, "Murder, Inc.: The CIA under John F. Kennedy."
From Murder, Inc.:
"President Lyndon Johnson told reporters that he thought Fidel Castro had ordered the assassination of John Kennedy in retaliation for CIA plots to kill Castro. Johnson said Kennedy was 'running a damn Murder, Inc. in the Caribbean.'
Jim Johnston's book narrates the history of the CIA assassination plots during the Kennedy Administration and how the investigation of Kennedy's assassination was steered away from considering whether Castro had retaliated.
Jim Johnston is a writer, lawyer, and lecturer in Washington. He has written four books, including Murder, Inc. and From Slave Ship to Harvard. His articles have been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, White House History Magazine, Howard Law Journal, American Lawyer Magazine, and Maryland History Magazine."
